Scan System = Corrupt Files

PC - Windows 7:

See the attached .jpg re the sequence of events.

When attempting to access the CBS Log report, #4 ("Access Is Denied") is the result. I'm the Administrator, so I can think of no reason why the log information should be denied to me.

Would like to resolve the "corrupt files" business, but can't move beyond #4 at this point.

Any information/assistance? Much appreciated.

Best thing to do is a Repair Install
It will reinstall Windows keeping your data and programs.
If your computer is a OEM (Dell, HP ,etc) save the current activation with ABR. The package provides utilities to backup and restore the activation files in OEM versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7 that are pre-activated at the factory. It probably won't work on activation that was performed online or over the phone.

For the updates, use Single file with all updates - Simplix

notepad \windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log
