Scanner not recognized by some programs

Epson scanner GT-1500 stopped working with some programs. Wiped all drivers and reinstalled latest version of Epson software. Adobe and some Espon programs not seeing scanner. Scanner works with Paint and Omnipage, so I know it's not the scanner. Worked with MS and Epson and of course they point fingers at the other. Any suggestions on how to get the scanner working with all programs again.

Resolved the issue. Ended up having to edit the registry. One of the dirvers duplicated itself and even though I deleted all the settings with the Epson remove disk, it really didn't work. Ended up manually deleting the duplicate and rebooted and all is well.
