Scattered Icons

Can anyone tell me why Windows 7 Professional keeps scattering my Icons? Sometime the order is rearranged with all of them on the left side of the screen, sometimes the positions are rearranged, for example the icons will appear in the center of the screen or part of the icons will be on the left side and the remaining ones on the right of the screen.

Do you play games or do anything that changes the resolution? That can cause the kind of problem you are seeing.

One solution is to install a program that remembers where your icons are and will put them back when you want.

I've used Iconoid on 32 bit systems and DesktopOK on my 64bit Windows 7. Not using anything on Windows 8 at the moment.

Thanks for the reply.

I don't play games and I haven't changed the resolution. Not intentionally, any way. I'll check and reset to factory setting if necessary.
