I have a AOC F22 and am currently using a vga cable to connect to my laptop. I have it set to 1920x1080 and 60 herts refresh rate. There are these lines that flicker up and down that are really irritating and hard to look at. I have the driver on the monitor and the geforce go 6150 both updated. I have researched and done other things but nothing works. Help please!!!!!

Sounds like a bad display, power converter or memory. Either way it's probably a hardware issue. Can you try a different monitor?

Does your laptop screen flicker too (without the external monitor attached). I suspect the 6150GO cannot drive the big screen. It is not much of a graphics facility.

The laptop screen does not flicker. But the graphics card does not have its own memory, it uses the system ram, which is 2gb. If i got usb to dvi with an external card, would it run any faster and be able to handle itself?

That is a possibility. But you have to watch out for the resolution it supports. As an example, this one supports only a max. of 1600x1200. For 1920x1080 you may have to spend a bit of money. You have to ask yourself whether that is worth it.

PS: I just found this info regarding your 6150. Make a test with 1600x1200 or less (if you have the 430 model).

Single-Link DVI Support
Able to drive flat-panel displays up to and including 1600x1200.
Feature only available for GeForce 6150/nForce 430.

Ok, i took a look at the first reply by notsogreymatter and realized that i had the monitor hooked to a power strip and the laptop to the wall. I switched the two and plugged the monitor into the wall and problem solved. The lines are gone and the picture looks great. Thanks for all the help everybody else!!!!!
