Hello,

Recently my HP G62 stock laptop has been randomly experiencing screen freeze and unresponsiveness whenever this happens- with no solution but to force shutdown. There is nothing specific that causes this, as far as I am aware, as it happens completely randomly on its own. The computer is not overheating and I have updated all of my drivers. This happens at least once a day, and sometimes before it happens, my audio completely stops working, although I don't think that is linked because the two issues can happen independently of one another.

Attached is my BSOD dump file.

Hello Kennyful.

Apparently it is not a BSOD issue; as the zip contains the last BSOD that is of 2012.

Do one thing as suggested.

It will give us one necessary info about your issue.

Thanks for replying-

The driver says 2010, but windows can't detect any new software, and the manually updating with the drivers online doesn't seem to really 'work' per say, as it still reads as the old software.

The problem still occurs. I was lucky enough to be watching a youtube video while the issue occurred and I was able to hear a constant buzz in my headphones when it happened. I'm not sure if that means anything, but I thought I would include everything I discovered.

Disable Hardware Acceleration. Open a video in YouTube. When it is started, right click on the screen and choose "settings"

In the resulting window, uncheck the option for hardware acceleration, and then close the window.

It has been a week without the problem reoccurring so I am assuming it was the hardware acceleration.
Thanks- I'll come back here if it really isn't fixed, but I think it is.

Unfortunately it happened again. This time I was only playing music, so there was no stress on my computer. It was not hot, fan was not whirring and making noise; everything was calm.
