Screen goes blank

Every time I try to change the theme from Window 7 Aero to either Basic or Classic I noticed that my screen flickers regularly (5-10 minutes intervals) and finally it goes black. I think the PC is still working but the screen is just black. Any solution to this?

The first thought that comes to mind is the graphics driver
Go to search type device manager in search
Any yellow warning markers and is the graphics driver up to date?

Check your screen saver settings in personalization, some themes set 'blank' as the screensaver....

Definitely not the screensaver!

I believe everything is up-to-date and there are no yellow marks in Device Manager. The weird thing is that with Aero everything works fine and the problems appear only when I change the theme to Basic or Classic.
