Solved Screen has turned extremely low res
Hi. I started having problems with my Pc today, whilst playing a game. The screen went completely black then the pc restarted. After this it would log on, then restart, log on, then restart, etc, all the while there were funny waves of colour on the screen.
I then ran the pc in safe mode and it booted fine. I scanned and fixed errors with AVG and Advanced System Care 6. The pc now boots but the screen is completely buggered. I've attached a picture. Any ideas?
Cheers
Dave

It certainly looks that way. Do you have any onboard graphics you could try to see if you can get a picture out of that?

Looking at your motherboard it doesn't look like you have the option unfortunately. Do you have access to another PC you could try the GPU in? It's a long shot but at least it would prove it was the GPU.

I'm new to all this but I think, if I've read it all correctly, my PSU puts out 470W and the card needs a minimum of 300W

That doesn't leave you a lot of power for the rest of your system. You may have to upgrade your power supply to use that card.
