screen/mouse issues

Hi, all im having a huge problem "self inflicted"
yesterday while playing a game "battlefield 2 modern warfare" i noticed in main screen
that the ping was not showing.

so after researching this i discovered that i needed to run it as administrator,

now my MAJOR issue commenced, "yes i did go into administrator" and try that then right clicked game and ran as admin.

now the problem. after closing game i noticed mouse took a few clicks to open anything, then i also noticed that i cannot resize screens "place pointer on side of screen and drag open" copy paste is a real bugger also. now this morning i went to use comp and mouse was now useless! """" side note space bar makes you scrool to bottom of screen""""
this morn i reinstalled windows not a format reinstalled. " im dumb and failed to see repair option"
now all said and done i have same problem,

mouse curser moves left click at best barely works "many clicks to open anything"
cant drag drop. "drag drop option is enabled"

can some one please inform me of what i have done?

since win 98 i have NEVER encountered this ever in work or play !

been there done that no dice!

imagine this put mouse on screen border left click to drag and find it dont move also it wont click to open without many "at least 20 clicks"

First type the letters cmd
in search
do not hit enter right click and run as administrator

Then in cmd prompt type sfc /scannow

If that does not work, try this

i will try that , but this morning i have allready "reinstalled windows".

did not format, so i have a what was called a old copy still on drive.

would that be still causing my issues?
on reinstall i was not asked for my license id # .

as far as im concerned all my stuff is gone ! so not worried bout that,

If you have problems and upgrade install (as you just did) the old problems may likely persist.

Do an clean install with the upgrade dvd, including format, you should be ok.

my wife was going to go forever thru it as she had never seen anything like this either

i had a feeling i fubared up the entire works. how i have no clue but at least i wont sit beating my head trying to go thru it !

will do format and install !

win 7 i hope to do format is like xp?

UPDATE,,,
OK, this is as retarded as it can get. the "PROBLEM" was not me or what ever i clicked!

windozs ran an update, and it told my mouse @@@@ off .

no updates for the mouse! so after my wife "she has a degree" in computers.
tooled with it for 3 hrs, i pulled a microsoft mouse out and plugged it in.
WHAM PROBLEM SOLVED>>>>>

unreal well, there is the solution so if anyone see the same ya know what to do !
