Hi,

I have Windows 7 Ultimate, 7600 RTM with a Geforce GTX 275.

I notice sometimes about every 30 minutes or so the screen on the desktop would just go black and reappear in about 2 seconds.

What could be the problem?

DXdiag shows the drivers I am using are 8.17.11.9621.

Thanks.

As you are not seing a Driver Recovered error, it actually sounds like your Desktop AERO Theme is on Slide Show and is set to change every 30mins. Possibly to a Desktop Picture that can't be displayed properly.

Right Click the Desktop - Peronalize and Click on a different AERO Theme - eg Windows 7 Default AERO theme.

Hi,

I have looked at the theme, and I do not have any theme that changes pictures on the desktop like a sideshow selected, I just have the default one with a single picture, so that can't be the problem.

I have updated to the latest graphics card drivers, will see if that fixes the problem.
