Hi All,

Hoping you can help. I have an advent laptop (roma 2000) and it's been running fine on windows 7. Yesterday I ran a virus check and the screen died. When you restart the screen briefly flashes to show advent start up and windows start up and then nothing. I was told to reset the bios butit's still the same. The external monitor works fine and when i disconnect it i get another flash so i guess the backlight is ok?

Has anyone got any ideas as all the graphics settings are normal and I'm stumped,

Thanks.

Welcome!

Try uninstalling the graphics card driver from Device Manager and rebooting. Then let Windows automatically install the drivers.
