Screen problem, cubes,blinking.

Hi, i'm suffering from a problem, my computer's screen used to work properly and now suddenly stopped working properly, it's blinking with lots of squares, cubics, here's a picture of what it looks like, any ideas? I've tried restoring the system 24 hours back, didn't help.

How long ago did the problem start, and do you know of anything that may have changed, in between then?

My first recommendation would be to ensure that your video cable is securely connected. Also, try wiggling the cables, and notice if the squares change or go away.

Today, my brother was fixing a different computer (plugged the computer box in etc) the screen there was normal, after fixing it, the computers were switched back, it worked as usual, no cubics or whatsoever, then i left, when i came back my brother told me there was a problem and i saw that the screen is filled with cubes that keep blinking. Restoring a day back did no effect. Just tried wiggling the cables - no effect.

Do you know what your brother was doing? Having him at least guess at what he did would put us farther on the road to fixing it.

Also, have you tried updating drivers? I think this is a hardware issue, but we might as well isolate that issue.
