So I was messing around with my resolution and got onto one which looked nice in thepreview.
I chose it, tv/monitor went blue and big 'mode not supported'

No problem, I rebooted in safe mode and was in 600x480 or something, so I changed to another and it was also zNot supported.

Whenever I load up regular or safe mode iget 'mode not supported.' and cannot see or do any thing.

I tried booting from windows disk and it said to do a system restore I need to
'specify which windows Installation' i wish to restore, and then asks me to restart - I HAVE ONE I STALLATION!

someone help me ): tried on a different monitor too,ut doesn't support it either.

Anyone? Got some very important files on there :\

Lastly, sorry for any mistakes, sent hastily from my phone.

Boot up in safemode and uninstall your VGA driver that should do the trick.... Download and install the latest driver after a good reboot.:D

Right-click "my computer" select "Manage" Then "Device manager" Locate the "VGA" and "Uninstall" or try "Roll back driver" first...

Safe mode doesn't work either.

It says mode not supported too as I changed it to one which I thoght worked but didn't.

So I can't use that.

Can you try Safe Mode with Command Prompt as that doesn't load up any explorer elements and may work.

When you use the Advanced Boot Options to select Safe Mode do you get the option to use Enable Low Resolution Video (640 X 480)?

This will force Windows 7 to user your GFX card in 640x480 resolution with minimal refresh rate, allowing for use on any/all external media/monitors.

On that guide it says to press f8.

f8 just displays regular boot options? Like dvd/external etc?

You will need to select your HDD to boot then immediately press F8 again to bring up the other menu.

Next thing I'd do is disconnect the video card and go onboard to identify if its the card itself or is it the driver. Remove the card just to reset your settings.

Do you even hear the POST beep on startup?

Fixed via booting into forced low res mode, as suggested.

Sorted out files and re-installed windows, this time 64Bit so I can properly use my RAM.

Thanks guys, helpful as always!
