Solved Screen Resolution Or Drivers?

Dear Forum Members,Am Using Sony Vaio / VGN-FS115B and is 32-bit.Originally it is XP Installed,but recently i installed 32 bit windows 7 ultimate.but now the os is not in full screen even it has been set to the maximum resolution 1028*768.But Laptop Supports upto 1280*800 Resolution.And It Is Nvidia Graphics.But Before Installation I Formatted Drivers .Please Help Me Friends.

That model came with both ati and nvidia graphics options apparently.
Which one do you have?
It's a widescreen so I doubt 1024x768 is the real native resolution as well.

It's actually 1280 x 800

Odds are you need to track down updated graphics drivers though (for both display and system stability). If you could provide just a little more information on the graphics card I'm sure someone could point you to it.

That is a very old laptop, not even Vista driver's are available. I can get XP drivers, from here: VAIO : Sony Europe but I wouldn't recommend installing them. XP drivers don't have a high rate of success on 7.

Out of interest, what graphics chip does it have?

It Is Intel 950GM Express Chipset

Intel 915GM actually,

VAIO : Sony Europe : Specifications

and as severedsolo said the best you're going to get for it are XP drivers, as Sony can't provide them to you if Intel didn't provide them to Sony,
