Hi,

I have been using Windows 7 since the past 2 months and it was a breeze.Yesterday my brother messed up something and formatted the windows so I had to do a re-install.
Now the problem is that I am not able to acheive the desired resolution as before, everything is showing quite stretched (as in wide than normal proportions). What I am looking for is a reslution of 1280 x 880 or 1440 x 990, but I am not able to coz there are no options though earlier it was working fine.

Quick reply would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Monti

Probably video driver. type device manager in search. goto the display tab. Is you card listed? and working? are there any unknown drivers with have yellow triangles on them

I agree with zigzag3143, likely to be the video driver. Grab the latest from Asus website.

Good Luck!

It definitely sounds like a driver issue.

Download this driver to your desktop...right click and select properties...select compatibility and select Windows xp sp3... click ok... then right click on the file again and run as administrator...this should install the video driver for your machine.. Now open up your control panel, display properties and select your screen resolution... Hope this helps...

Here is your driver Drivers and Downloads
