Solved Screen resolution

I want to change my screen resolution but can't because the screen size is such that I can't reach the OK button or similar such link at the bottom that would enable me to do it. Also,that page will not drag far enough up to see it. It bounces back down. How do I fix this? Thanks.

If you are saying that your Screen Res window is bigger than your screen the just put your curser on any corner of the window that you can see and your curser will change to a double ended arrow. With this arrow drag the screen to a smaller size and then you will see a scroll bar on the right that will enable you to go to the bottom of the window.

Try pressing <ALT>+<SPACE> then <X> to maximize the resolution setting window. Perhaps then you can access the OK button.

Hello Hal,

If the above doesn't help, then your DPI setting may be set to high. Try OPTION THREE in the tutorial below to restore the default 96 DPI size to see if that may be able to help.

Sreen resolution

Thanks for the info regarding my sreen resolution issue. It's fixed now and I will try to fine tune it according to that info. Thanks again.

Of the options I received in the previous post I selected option 3. Curiously, when I booted up today the desktop icons and text where back to the way they where before I changed the resolution. The other windows, web sites, documents etc where at the new size. Beats me.

If you right click on the desktop, click on View, and either Medium Icons or Small Icons, does that look better?

If not, could you post a screenshot of what your desktop icons and text looks like?
