I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit installed on two machines, and there are only like 3 (really boring, old from Windows 95) screen savers installed. Where did they all go?
I was expecting nice new ones with 7...

I think in part it was to save size in the install. You can use most of the XP and Vista screensavers, even the ones like "space" that came with XP media center version.

If you go looking for screensavers, be careful - a number of sites with them are full of malware that will try to hijack your browser. Use something like "Web of Trust" to give you a reading on the sites before you go there.

Now that is slick! (Wife dosn't care for the sound, but....OK, I turned it down.)
The sound can be changed  you can even use your own music :wow:

here's how to do it:

1.Go into "Configure Free Fire Screensaver"
2. Click on sound in the left side
3. navigate to background music and select "play user's music"
4. Load the song you want to played when the the screensaver is on.
5. Select the volume of the song
6. Navigate to "flame" Sound and select no sound (Only if you only want the music to play)

Thanks everyone for the screensavers so far.
Where can a person find the screensavers from XP (even the media centre ones) and Vista?

If you no longer have your XP or Vista system available, your best bet (and the easiest probably) is to find someone who has one of those systems and just copy off the ".scr" files you want. Typically they are in the Windows or Windows/System32 directory.

If you go looking for screensavers on line, please use something like "Web of Trust" so you can stay away from sites that try to download crap to your system - I see a lot of them in a search for screensavers.

If your using Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate, you can download Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode free from Microsoft and get them from there. That's how I got them anyway.

Oh yeah? I didn't know that Virtual PC/Windows XP mode would allow you to have access to the screen savers, etc.

It wont let you run the screen savers in XP mode, but it does install ALL of XP when you install the XP mode virtual machine, the .scr files are in the system32 dir. You can copy them in XP and paste them into Windows 7. I am actually quite impressed with XP mode, and Windows 7 overall. Microsoft surprised me with this one!

That only works if your processor supports Virtual PC or Windows XP mode.

Yes, sorry I should have specified that. Your processor has to suport Virtualization to run XP mode.
