Hi everyone I am Danny age 17, my Dad is americancritic, I was wondering if someone could point me to a screenshot software that I could use.

Thank you very much for your time as I know you all must be very busy...

I picked up Dad's 3 dots and I know what they stand for but the rules say you can't post certain things.

Hi Danny. You don't need software to capture your screen. On your keyboard is a key labeled 'print screen' (PRTSCR). Press it. This action places the screenshot in the clipboard. Start up 'Paint' and clik the Clipboard icon labeled 'PASTE'. Presto! Your windows computer very likely came with software called 'Paint' (if not it should be free out there, somewhere in microsoft-land).

I've used the Snipping Tool in the past but I like MyPrintScreen Because... I like living outside of the MS box!

Hi Danny. There are some excellent tips and choices above. If you're looking for a 'fancy' screen shot and video grab software, then also take a look at SnagIt. It is not free, however.

Danny as you can see for most things their are many ways of doing things.

It's a learning process to decide which method/s one wants to use.
Their are many 3rd party programs free and paid for that can do what you desire.
I personally use the Snipping Tool built into Windows 7 most of the time.

Hello to all.

Layback bear someone mentioned the snipped tool before but I can't find it. Dose anyone know how to find the snipping tool in windows 7. It is not in the startup windows and I am sure it's probably a easy find.

Click on the Start Button, select All Programs, scroll down to Accessories, select that & you will see Snipping Tool in the list.

You could also go to the Start Orb and type in snip and the Snipping tool should be at the top.
Right tick on the Snipping tool and select (Pin to Start Menu).
