Hello,
For last few months i am having a problem on my windows 7 netbook . When i open my laptop after
booting up the screen turns white with black border. . This problem also occurs during doing any light office work like working on excels, word and powerpoints. After restarting my netbook sometimes the screen
recovers but mostly the screen turns white and then black borders occurs. After that the computer stops responding.

So please help me on this topic because i am a office worker and i cannot work without my netbook. :(

Hi Debasish Thakur, welcome to Seven Forums.

When you move the screen a small bit does the screen do anything at all? Maybe it could be a loose cable?

Nothing happens when I move the screen little bit. actually the problem occurs suddenly while working for 2-3 hours it and also when I boot up. Once i remember that my netbook fell on the ground and somehow i managed to save it. since then the problem occurred. first few months it worked perfectly and at that time hardly there was a malfunction like this but in recent few months it is just increasing day to day now it is happening every time. Mostly it happens but sometimes it runs perfectly for more than 5 hours.

Ouch. This raises the possibility that there was damage to one ore more components. That damage does not need to be instantly fatal. Hopefully it is just a connection that was shaken loose.

Ultimately the device will need to be disassembled and inspected. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself then I suggest you bring it to a repair shop.

It's strange though that it work's for a few hours and then it just happens. Also when he is moving the screen nothing is happening not even a flicker :sarc:

All sorts of bad thing could happen in a fall. It could be something as simple as a loose connection, or very complex, like a power problem.

I think the OP needs to rule out hardware issues before working on OS/software issues or things could get real messy real fast.

True and would be quicker looking at the hardware first.
