Hello experts, I do hope you can help me once again. I am completely confused by this issue and am unsure how to even proceed.
To start, as the title says the screen saver and the Turn off Monitor option do not seem to be playing along well. They work just fine independently however, i usually let the screen saver kick in at 5 minutes and the monitor turn off after 10 minutes. What is happening although, the screensaver kicks in just fine, and when the monitor timer expires, they turn off as needed but then are suddenly interrupted and cancels both the screen saver and the monitor turn off.
After researching what I could, (google has not been friendly in this case), I have tried the wireless mouse fix and the issue continued, I have connected a wired mouse, same result. After many reboots and trial and errors, I have reached a desperate state here because I hate when my monitors run all day when I am not at home.
Thank you all for reading and reaching out to help. Any other information I can provide, I will do so as needed.
Thanks!
-Bz
EDIT: After some more poking, I think I have found that the system is registering the change between the screen saver and the monitor as an "activity" similar to a mouse movement or keystroke. Can anyone confirm this as a thing?
