This is annoying, this shouldn't happen, Facebook must work fine on my 7 year old computer and now it's choking alot. Is there a way to fix it? I've already cleaned the cache, cookies, even did a reinstallation of Windows but the problem is still here

What browser are you using? Facebook runs a lot of scripts and ads, older pc's do not handle it very well. You can always try the mobile site. Noticed your specs are more then adequate. Something is odd here.
