Solved SD Card only shows Images and Video when reading from a Digital Camera

When I plugged in my Digital Camera (Canon), I was able to access the card, but only images and video are displayed.

I use the same card in my keyboard/synthesizer (Korg), to backup my sounds/presets.

When I was running Windows XP, these files appeared and I was able to copy from and to the card, to have a backup in my computer, or to update the keyboard with other presets I've downloaded.

I do not own nor have access to a card reader at the time to see if I can get the files this way.

I read something about PTP (picture transfer protocol), Windows 7 may be restricting the device, but I'm just guessing here.

Is there a workaround or any way to set up the device/sd card in the camera as a regular drive or mass storage device?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Seven forums Adrian.
Windows 7 is setup to read media files from the Camera. I suspect you will need to get a card reader or use a friend's and copy over those data files to a USB stick. If the Camera has a software package, you might try installing it.

Thank you.
Well, the camera has a software, but it was only for images and videos.
So, I guess I'll be buying a card reader.
