Hi All,

I recently began playing a new game and wanted to backup my saved game files, but I could not find them. I was able to learn that the file extension is .bkm. I opened search in Win 7, selected the C drive and searched for *.bkm. The search produced no results. In reading on some gaming forum sites to learn the directory location, I learned that the save files are in:
C\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\FLT\Steam\8870\Remote\SaveData.

I looked in Explorer and the files are in the listed folder. They do end in the extension .bkm.

Can anyone tell me why searching the C drive using *.bkm does not find any files?

Thanks for all help.

Because that's all located within a hidden folder.

Thanks so much. I have always checked the box to show all folders, but it was not checked this time. I have always hated Windows dumbing down the user and hiding folders.

Well, I have to admit that I like it because then there's a lot less clutter.

The clutter is one of the few things in life that's still free.

lol for me, I like to use the words "free" and "clutter" in the same sentence like this: "I prefer it to be clutter-free!" :) Or perhaps, "I prefer it to be free of clutter"! :p

The word order does make quite a difference. Free clutter, clutter free. :)

Genius!

I'm going to pack up all of my clutter and leave it outside with a sign that says "Free Clutter!"

If you want to get rid of it quickly the sign should say "stealing this clutter is absolutly forbidden." :)

I suppose one man's "clutter" is another's "treasure." I knew a guy who worked on a trash truck. Many pieces of furniture ended up in his apartment. I just hope the thoroughly sprayed for fleas before sitting in any of the stuffed chairs. :)
