Search in Windows 7

hello every one
1. I want to search for files with specific conditions (for example filter by date, name, content, type, ...). I did it with winxp simply by pressing windows key + f, but in win7 I cant do that!!!
2. I want to search for a computer on the network by ip, how can I do that. in xp I right click on network places and choose search for computer menu
