Second hard drive

Hello and good evening , i have question about install windows and no lost any information on my second hard drive have music pics , kk i have Disk C have only programs and windows install , i have second disk music and pics and some videos , if format the disk C and install windows again and i dont touch the Disk D is the secondary when finish installation the computer dont required format the second hard drive for can read it ?

i want kick the second disk during the installation of windows when finish install windows i conected again the disk back , my idea is format the PC only on disk C so when i finish install i conected back the disk D and bios read the disk and all good no required format

You may want to disconnect the 2nd drive and then reinstall windows on the 1st drive. I have read that sometimes when installing Win 7 with two drives in the system it does some strange things. After installing Win 7 then you can reconnect the 2nd drive and it should be fine.

This is true. Unplug your data drive during WIn7 install.

Once you reconnect your second drive, you can copy over your data or even set the second drive up as a data vault to keep your User folders separate from the OS/programs. That way if Win7 ever becomes irreparable, you can reimage just the OS/Programs from an image stored on the second drive and your files will all be waiting and current.

thanks for the help , the problem is i have some problem on boot today i try to find bios setup i press Esc and show me the boot and i press enter and i choice the second hard drive and the PC start windows and this cant hapenned because the second hard drive dont have system operative installed , so i restart again and i choice the first disk and all good the problem now when i restart the PC and the letter black say USB version etc... have some freeze for liek 3 second and that no good beacuse i know my PC for 3 year and i guess if i format the PC the problem was fixed
