I can't seem to get my results to populate. Build 7100 x64. It will scan and be done rather faster than it should, and no results are listed, nothing happens. Not sure what to do to correct it. I always liked using the Secunia scanner as a convenient hub for software updates.

Raul,

100% pure coincidence.

Secunia PSI is not the source of your problem.

Is computer usable?
Please supply info about your computer.
Thanks,
Karl

Raul,
Why do you think you erased the bios? Is this maybe due to some other action you took?

Will the computer boot up correctly?

Try booting up in "Safe Mode".
You enter safe mode by: turn computer off, turn computer on, tapping every second on the F8 key until you get a screen asking you if you want to boot into safe mode.

Infant mortality does occur with electronic devices despite the best efforts of quallty control and assurance departments. Although most problems are due to operator malfunction.

Definitely sounds like a hardware problem Raul.
Are you getting a post screen or nothing at all?
If you can boot into safe mode as Karlsnooks suggests then try doing a system restore.
Alternatively, if you have a W7 disk or a rescue disk try booting from that and do a repair install.
Regarding PSI Secunia, I tried on a x64 W7 install and found it immensely annoying.
Every time I logged on it would bombard me with reminders to update Adobe Flash and Adobe Reader. I'd do that and then it would remind me again. I began to believe that Adobe products are constantly out of date.(surely not;))
I take your point about being useful in keeping everything up to date but it got so irritating I had to take it off.

Cheers, John:)

it doesnt

hi karl,
thanks for repplying

but thats exacly the problem it will not boot at all... it simply shows the power on lights and nothing else, no screen nothing, (it shoud show a srecreen saing toshiba with the options at the base, but it dosent...) witch is why it is not possible to boot in safe mode... and find it hard to belive that it was a hardware faliure because i had just two weeks ago taken it to a toshiba official store to get the lcd lights (the inverter had burned) fixed and they performed tests to my machine and said everythink was absolutly fine with it... and its not the same problem either because i already tried to connect it to an alternative exterior lcd and the response was exacly the same.... has for any other action i might have taken taht would cause the bios to be erased, i dont find it very likely since the only programs i had installed other secunias psi were kaspersky internet security tune up utillities 2010 and firefox... i realy dont know what esle to do

john,
I once had a similar problem re the nag screens from secunia. I deleted any and all old versions of reader and flash, ran again and then installed the latest version. Nag screens gone.

Secunia also has an option so that the program does not run automatically at startup tme. I also told it not to worry about monitoring. I run secunia's psi about once a month just to make sure that I've not missed an update since I do no allow any program to autoupdate and that most definitely includes Windows Update.

thanks

Raul,
Very unusual but from what you've related, then the problem is hardware rather than software. Hope you are still under warranty.

As a sideline, with the amazing performance of Microsoft's Windows Security Essentials and the fact that their firewall is greatly improved, I'd dump Kaspersky when my subscription ran out. I've used ZoneAlarm, Kaspersky, Comodo and am well-pleased with Windows Security Essentials.

Sorry to say Raul but I agree with Karl. It sounds like it has to be a hardware problem.
If you have access to another PC (Doh, you obviously do) you could try burning a small Linux distro and attempt to install that. It will have it's own partition tool so you can just put it on a tiny partition.
However I suspect that something physical is adrift so this might just be a waste of time.
Have you tried removing the battery and then replacing it?
I doubt it's the other programmes you have installed and you can't get in to take them off anyway.
Might have to be back to the shop I'm afraid.

Best of luck, John

PS Karl. I might try PSI again using it as you suggest:)
