Hi,

Could someone please explain how to disable ports 137, 138 & 139?

I have followed a few guides, but everytime i see it back open again.

Also, how can i tell if my router is been hacked?

Whenever I change settings on it, it just goes back to what it was,
and the login page looks like a screenshot of the old login page, and the time never updates on it? dodgy or?

Im kinda paranoid, but certain people seem to always know what I have been up to on my computer, and they are always talking about making viruses, and remoting into other peoples computers so..

I have a linksys Am300 router, and I use avast and windows firewall.

I might reinstall and try mse maybe and get a new router.

Anyway, any help appreciated
Thanks

Download Malwarebytes and do a virus scan. Make sure you have a good firewall.

Router should gives you excellent inbound protection, it's not easy to hack router/hardware firewall but you have to have a strong password to your router configuration.

Reset your router and see if anything changes. ( probably have to poke a hole with a pen ) Remember to get the isp logon username and password handy first.

Make sure you're router has a strong password, and with Mcafee, you can check who is using you're internet connection.

But you have to get McAfee from Comcast Security...

Not sure if it helped, but I'm trying my best.
