security warning

Hello, when browsing certain websites i often get an annoying warning pop up box which says some of the content is not secure and do i want to only download the secure content which whatever option i choose seems to make no difference, is there a way to stop this persistent little box from appearing. Download and run malwarebytes, they will be gone

If, however, you are going to sites that are creating and giving you the popus, your remedies are rather limited as they are coming from your own computer security.

I think it has to do with your browser's security settings. If you lower the security settings, I think they'll go away--but you might make your browser a little more unsecure.

screwfix direct is the main culprit so its really annoying when im browsing that sites products.

should have thought of that myself cause ive just checked and it was set to medium high, i dont know if thats IE 8,s default cause i never set it, so ive lowered it to medium and all is well thanks very much regards keith.

Open your security settings from the menu (or double-click on Protected Mode: On from the bottom taskbar) and change your settings to allow non-protected media to be displayed on a secure socket.
