Seeming random crashes

My computer is a Pavilion dv5
amd 9540 dual core processor 64 bit
4.0 GB ram
no overclocking or fiddling
do have errors where it says windows is not genuine etc.

now the error,
seemingly randomly then computer freezes and blinks very fast the BSOD and then goes black and restarts

No, this is going to sound stupid but i installed win 7 Ultimate after using Ubuntu for a year and it worked fine for a while but just recently it started this i cannot find a Windows 7 Home x64 installation disk

edit: i'm guessing this is linked to my problem

Where did you get your copy of Windows 7? You have Ultimate installed, not Home Premium.

Where did you buy it? I'm only asking because you have an HP Windows 7 OEM copy installed, and that's only available directly from HP.

A hacked version of Windows could cause a lot of problems, but I have no idea if the two are related. However, you need to fix the underlying problem first - reinstall Windows and use the key that came with the computer.

You have Ultimate installed - you can't "upgrade" to Home Premium. You need to do a clean install.
