Seems that using the install CD to repair boot, makes 7 slower...

I didn't know whether to make a new post or keep going with the one from July of this year.

I still have my triple boot system: XPired, 7, Linux I have mastered making Acronis backups and want to move to an SSD. If I only restore 7 it has no bootloader because it was put on after XPired was. So to make 7 bootable I use the install CD 3 times and then it will boot up and run, but it seems so slow after I do that repair.

Other than using the 7 install disc to repair the bootloader is there any other way this can be done? Of course I realize a format and install of 7 and all the programs would do the trick. I'm trying to avoid that if I can. If I install 7 over itself will I lose all my programs etc? I never liked to do that with earlier versions of Windows but at times it seemed to be OK.

How long has it been since you had a Clean Reinstall? This should not be dreaded but welcomed for the chance to get and then keep a perfect install. You'd follow the same steps in http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164 which has helped a million users get perfect installs without a single complaint.

Otherwise post back a screenshot of http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...nt-post-screen-capture-image.html#post2261610 so we can see if the problem is obvious.
