Im thinking about selling my computer, but i dont know how much to sell it. here is my hardware specs.

GPU: Sapphire radeon HD 4850 512MB
CPU: AMD Phenom 9550 Quad Core 2.2Ghz
RAM: Kingston HuperX 4GB DDR2
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Hitachi 500GB HDD
800 watt psu

If you guys can come up with a price range, that would be great.

Also, what do i need to do to get it ready to sell it?

Hard to put a price on a used item, easiest thing is to go to eBay, hardforum.com or Craiglist and search for similar ones and go from there.

If you have sensitive information on your HDD, I would suggest NOT selling it as the information can be easily retrieved... I know, I am paranoid ;)

Are you also selling it with the Case? if so... just pack it on the original case box or similar.

Good Luck

If you want a ballpark figure I would say about $250.00.
But you need to provided photo's and more detailed spec's.
How many USB slots, card reader and the list goes on...

What is the exact model of the motherboard?

Most of the hits I looked at are in the $500 range for a new system with the same CPU and similar specs.

On the plus side (for you):

They typically had onboard video that was not as good as your 4850. Your PSU, assuming it's a quality brand, is also a big notch above pre-configured systems similar to yours.

On the minus side:

They all included an OEM version of either Vista or Win 7, which is going to be worth $100 to a buyer without an OS. That's assuming a Linux fan doesn't come along.

Another question: Are you just looking to get something out of this so you can move on, or is getting top dollar a concern. Think about this question a little. We'd all like top dollar, but be realistic about what "top dollar" means in a situation like this. Most used stuff goes for about half what you would pay for the same thing if it was brand new. :)

Hi Akpsp :)

As you are going to include the original OEM Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit Disc it may be an idea to securely wipe data from the Hard Drive (eg) > DBAN - Dariks Boot and Nuke.
