Windows 7 64bit SP1 with all updates, also Firefox 3.6.16, also windows mail as my default email.
When I right click a webpage and use the send link it correctly launches my windows mail, but alas the link is in my To: (just above the cc) where you send your e-mail, instead of being in the body of the email (is that clear?), also it is not clickable
In fact this is it.

The above is this page for example.

If you mean the email program that came with the Windows Live Essentials package called "Windows Live Mail", the current version (2011) should be repaired due to a bug(s). Go to Programs and Features/Windows Live Essentials and click on uninstall/change at the top of the window and in the next window choose "repair". It will repair all WLE previously installed components, including Mail.

roncerr: Cheers for your input, but alas as you know win7 does not come with proprietary email, so downloaded the Winmail 64 bit software and for months now have enjoyed what I did with Vista, nothing has been loaded for weeks on the computer (except updates). Also it used to be a clickable link, but now it is gibberish in the To: section of the email, I am at a complete loss, I know I don't use that facility often, but now I know it doesn't work, I'm becoming transfixed by it:cry:, still, another problem that makes computing so much heartache/fun:confused:

The Windows Mail (Vista version) Tutorial, http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/5481-windows-mail.html, still works but SP1 can mess it up. I believe the thing to do is install all the Windows Updates, including SP1, and then follow the tutorial. You may want to check out some of the posts near the end of the tutorial thread (pages 90-100) regarding SP1.

Thanks for that, you are right, when I downloaded SP1, I lost my Windows Mail completely, I had to go through the whole process of "Take Ownership" cut/paste delete everything again, but methinks you might have nailed it, anyway off now for the rest of the day. Will post later, once more thanks for taking an interest.
