Hello,

I have a software. There is one file into that which the anti-virus considers it as a malware while it's not. And every time I want to run that software I have to disable the anti-virus temporarily and after exiting from that software again enable the anti-virus real-time protection.

My question is that, is there a way to separate that file from scanning of real-time protection of anti-viruses like NOD32 & Kaspersky?

Thanks in advance.

It would help to know the name of the AntiVirus program.

Normally, in the Settings of an AV, there is an option to Exclude a file, or files.

Fine for me...I'm retired!
The Anti-viruses I use are Kaspersky Internet security 2013 on a PC and NOD32 version 4 on another one. You think is there that option in both of them?

Post the file being flagged so we can look at it. Is it a pirated software, keygen, or registry hack?
Runnig two real-time AV will almost always cause issues, they try to remove each other.

I threw that software away, but as much as I can remember the file had an extension like .NPT or something like that. I don't know it was registry hack or not but what is important for me is how to exclude a specific file from AV and the issue is this. As I in my previous post said each one of those two AVs (kaspersky and nod32) is running on a separate PC, one on my office PC and another one on my home PC. I'm aware that running more than one AV on one PC causes issues.

Got me confused, if you uninstalled and got rid of the software which contained a file that your AV was detecting as malware, why would the AV be still detecting the file?

I have a software...

I threw that software away...

Which one is it??

If you want to have your AV exclude a file, you need to go into its settings, and select the option to exclude. Each AV is different.

If this file is flagged as malware does not go away, please provide the name and path of the file, so we can determine if further actions are required.

@cottonball: I have threw the software now and naturally the AV doesn't have any message about it, but I want to don't face this problem in future. Now I know that you said the answer is in setting, but couldn't find that menu to exclude the file in the setting, do you know the path of it in (e.g.) kaspersky?

khoshtipi I'm probably easiest to confuse of all the members that are posting.
Please bear with me.
You have had two quality anti virus programs stop you from downloading and using this secret program you have chosen and now you want to know how to by pass your security programs so you can use this secret program.

Do I understand your request?

It would be very helpful if you could let us know what program you are trying to get your security programs to ignore and let through.

To better guide the fine folks trying to help I suggest starting from ground
Zero and go from there. This is ground Zero.

Knowing what security programs you prefer would also be helpful.

Another helpful things would be this also by Brink.

Thank you cottonball. I got the answer.

Whenever I want to post a new thread on a forum, I almost do my complete effort to make it clear and obvious for readers who are trying to help me. But can't get how sometimes I should repeat what I have wanted from the thread again and again. some persons don't note to the main issue and just are following the margins.

Anyway, thank you all so much.:)

I'm sorry khoshtipi that we don't all come up to your high expectations but I can assure you, well as far as I am concerned anyway, that I will strive to do better in the future. I can't, of course, vouch for any of the other contributors.

If you read back through the thread you'll find people understood your request from the word go, but your failed to answer the one question people kept asking you; what program were you trying to run?

Also it would have been beneficial if you hadn't ignored Layback Bear's request:

Thanks:)

I think all of those above comments are irrelevant - with respect. The answer I needed was the link that "cottonball" got it me and the rest are marginals.
Anyway, I'm happy about your responses. Thanks.:)

Yes your refusal to provide links to a file in your other thread and or naming the file that is flagged in this one, raises our suspicions you are trying/using ways to by-pass legal activations.
