Serious BSOD and Mouse problems

Hey guys, Ive been running Windows 7 for a long while now and its been my bread and butter. Have had no problems up until tonight. Randomly through my gaming my mouse buttons just completely stopped working. Its weird because it seems like the mouse control gets stuck in a window and I can only use it in that window. I cannot click anywhere else and if I open another window my mouse is completely unresponsive. I've ruled out faulty mouse because I've use 2 separate mice and both had the same problems. I'm using a Razer Deathadder and thought it was the firmware or drivers. Updated both, nothing.

Now, I boot my computer and I may get lucky and the mouse starts working, but anytime I start up a game I BSOD. Its getting terrible. It cant be my Ram because ive swapped sticks out and used different ports on my mobo to see if it was the port. I've ran hotfixes and all windows utilities I can think of. Ran a mem test and everything came out clean. The only thing I have that shows errors is I ran CMD and hit in sfc/scannow and it said it came up with problems that were unable to be fixed.

I just updated my ASUS P5Q pro BIOS as well to see if that was the problem. Nothing has been fixed as of yet. Anything would be really helpful because I'm starting to think I may have to wipe my computer... And I really really dont want to do that.

And of the mouse probelms?? Also I am following the instructions and will be uploading as per instruction request.

The mouse issues are really a problem. Its difficult moving everything with the keyboard

If you ran system file check and it could not fix the problems you have corruption in your system files. If you upload the CBS.LOG file we can tell you exactly which ones. Given that there are corrupt file the fastest way to fix it is to do a clean install unless you have a backup from before when the problem started.

If you are having true BSOD's
We really need the actual DMP file.

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Start your own thread in the "Crashes and Debugging" section of the forum and attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

While i am looking through the CBS.LOG file can you look in event viewer to see if there are any critical errors?

There are several ways to find what the problem is. The best is to go into event viewer (type eventvwr in search). Go to the windows log>application tab.

You want to look for critical errors (they have red in the left column ).

When you find them you want to look for critical errors that say app hang, app crash, or anything that relates to the problem.

When you find them please note the event ID, and the source codes and tell us what they are.

Let us know if you need help with any of this.

After doing a little bit of searching I read a few people have had Razer driver problems causing them to BSOD. Could my problem with my BSOD and mouse issues be the driver itself??

EDIT: Alright. It cant be that. I just reinstalled the drivers. Everything seemed working fine and then started bugging out again. Mouse buttons being hit randomly and the back button being hit while browsing anything. On top of it, it seems like this problem hits me bad when I'm playing WoW. It didnt seem to have any problems prior to me booting up WoW. But now.. So frustrating..

The 2005 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.
Please visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt
Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit " (it's about the 8th item down).
Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).

When you have updated ASACPI.sys, reboot and let us know.

Alright, just updated the ATK0110 driver and its stamped for 2009. So thats all alright now and I havent had any BSOD since my event last night. (Computers been running without fail since then.)

The only major issue is the mouse... It still screws up big time and gets.. The best way I could describe it is "locked" into windows. It also mouse clicks 4 and 5 randomly making navigating online rather difficult. I uninstalled the Lycosa driver and am about to reinstall it, however, I dont see how this would affect my mouse controls.

Ok.. This is really weird... Ive discovered that the problem occurs only when I move the mouse sporadically...?

It doesnt bug out when its not in movement but as soon as I jerk it around it bugs out big time... (Just to restate this same thing happens with all working mice ive experimented on)

Also... I need to click mouse 5 in the window I want to be able to click in. After mouse 5 clicking I am able to resume everything I want to do and it will only bug out if I jerk it around a lot.. I have never seen something like this before..

Good job of updating that driver; it was an almost guaranteed to cause a crash.

I also find the following older drivers on your system. Generally speaking, Windows 7 does not like older drivers. They can and do cause cause conflicts and crashes.

It may not affect your mouse. That is the driver that four BugChecks blamed for the crashes. Maybe your keyboard is going bad?

Have you got another mouse you can try? Your mouse may be going bad. They do that; I just replaced a mouse.

Ive clarified its not the mouse, Ive used 2 other mice and both have the same issues. However, upon restarting my computer after reinstalling the Lycosa driver and unplugging and replugging the mouse back in it seems like the issue is resolved.. For now.

But on a side note, the good news is, no more BSOD.

You guys are awesome +rep for the help. I will stay in here and keep you guys updated on the mouse issues.
