 im getting seriously fooked off now, for months we have had this problem. we switched all our old xp desktops for windows 7 desktops. now every now and again, a user will try to print and it does nothing, so i think hhmm ok il just remove and re-add the printer, removes fine, but when it comes it instal it again we get this stupid message "cannot connect to the printer 0x000006be" then it will say the printer spooler is running, start the spooler try again same message, then the spooler stops!!!!!! i have tried everything i can think of now and getting seriously stressed out and upset by this lol, why have they made adding a printer soooo difficult im sick of ittttt!! doesnt matter wether logged in as admin or the user the same thing happens.

the print server is server 2003, there is many printers its not just one printer we have the problem with so cant be driver related, can it? just happens randomly to users throughout the day

Print server is IPv4 win 7 machines (if home-grouped) can be IPv6. IPv6 has connectivity issues on some networks (especially mixed OS networks). Set up new connection on win 7 machines using "workgroup" which uses IPv 4
