server lag

hello i seem to be getting server in rfactor and gtr2 it all worked fine in vista but got issues with windows 7 cant seem to solve the problem i have tried the firewall and opend the ports even done a firmware update on the router and still nothing mabe someone might know how to fix it i hope someone can help thanks.

You are probably using homegroup for your networking. Homegroup can cause lags, slow downloads, and random disconnect on some systems. Test it for your self. Create a new network using the "workgroup" model and if your problems go away you can disable IPv6 and kill homegroup.

I know this isn't my thread but: why would HomeGroup cause the lag he is having, and why would WorkGroup be better?

When You Start Your server Go To taskmanager and set Priority of that Program to "Realtime"

This Will Reduce Some Lag :D
