Hello, I upgraded my computer from Vista to Windows Home Premium 32Bit with no problems that I could detect. Windows Update offers me the SP-1 Upgrade but it fails to install. I receive an Error Code: 80073701.

Based upon its spec's, although the upgrade to Windows 7 went without a hitch, could this computer be too underpowered for SP-1 to install? I've tried a half dozen times, even getting the download separately. Thanks for any help or info.

I did run the tool to check if the computer would run Windows 7, the results were just above boderline. However that was for installing Windows 7. I had no problem with the Win 7, upgrade/install. Why would it baulk at installing SP-1? As stated in my specs the WEI score for this computer is 2.8.

What Anti-virus program are you running?

You could try ---> Perform in-place upgrade on the computer and then check for the update issue again.
