Hallo everyone!!

Everytime i try to start services.msc it crashes.
Nomatter if i start it from computer management nor as i start it from commandline with services.msc. Everything else is working properly.
I ran sfc /scannow, it said it cannot correct some errors, the log wasnt very helpful.
I searched the web, changed the mmc.exe from a working machine in both folders: system32 and sysWOW64, but it didnt change anything.

Syslog Error:
Code:

DEP is data execution prevention. You might have something on your comp. What AV are you using.

I have seen IE crash when I installed a program. I tried to install TMinizer and it installed fine, but IE wouldn't work. So it might be one of your installed programs that is causing issues. You can look at the event viewer by typing "Event Viewer" into the SearchBar in Startmenu.

Also if you are getting any bluescreens, then you should be creating a minidump file. You can post the minidump in this forum and someone here can analyze it.

no, i am not getting any bluescreens, the comp just freeze and stop working.
Only a full manual restart brings it back to life.

There is nothing special in the event viewer.
I am using Avira premium Antivirus solution

Whenever IE crashes, it should log something in the event viewer.

You can try another AV scanner Malwarebytes. It is not an active scanner so it wont interfere with Avira. Is Avira a free AV or paid?

Here is link to malwarebytes: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware: Malwarebytes

ok, here is the fix...
I had IE8 64 Bit Version running as main Internet Browser.
After i changed it to IE8 32 Bit -> Services.msc can be accessed without any problems.
The damn 64 bit edition of the Internet Explorer was the buggy thing which let crash my machine...

Everything is running fine now.
