Hi,

On a clean install of W7, daily auto check for updates scans and displays no new updates available but mostly displays an error.....

Windows Modules installer started and set at Automatic, reverts back to Manual and the service stops.

Any ideas why or any fix?

Is it required for Windows auto check for updates?

My suggestion is to set Services - Windows Update - Manual and on WU page set it to Never check.
Then run UpdatePack7R2
Simplix is a single file (850MB) that contain all updates since Win 7 released up to date. It has all security and non security updates without the trash (telemetry and tracking). Very good.
Then run WU manually to find updates for Office etc and decide witch one to install.

Thanks again, I did as you recommended. Simplix installed 20 more updates after scanning. Some required a reboot. All went fine.

But now when run Win updates get an error, an ideas, thoughts?

EDIT:

Have a total of 129 updates, 1 for Net, 56 for Off and 72 for Win 7 32 bit.
Is there an issue with services, to me all look good...?
Any links to download W7 with slip streamed SP1 and all simplix updates without the drivers?
