OK. I have created an SSD RAID 0 in my ASUS BIOS.
DO I have to do the RAID again in Windows 7 "Disk Management"?
Has it already been Striped by the BIOS or do I have to format it as Striped?
I'm using it it for my Boot Disk.
2 x Samsung 256GB 850 Pro: Extended to 512GB.
I also have a PCI 6GB SATA controller, but I am doing the RAID on the motherboard. ASUS P8z77.
No, Windows Disk Management will see those 2 SSDs as 1.
Have the SATA RAID pre-install drivers ready (on a USB stick) from motherboard support page for Windows installation.
Possibly this one - Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology Driver Software V11.0.0.1032 for Windows XP/7 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

Its working fine now. Although I am concerned that it is RAID 0. So I backup incrementally using EaseUS ToDo Backup every 2 hours. So I should be fine.
To be extra secure I have bough another Samsung Pro 2506GB disk and will now try to convert to RAID 5. 2 disk plus 1 for parity.
When you say "our boards" do you mean Asus motherboards?
I also have a SATA PCI 6G express card (with 4 slots) on the backplane. It is made by IOcrest. Model ref: SI-PEX40064, Marvell 88SE9215.
