There's too many variables for me to make sense of why my incoming mail is a smaller almost unreadable size to everything else on my system.

I have used the Win7 metrics "Change Windows Colors and Metrics" carefully.

I have used Theme and Font changer in Firefox

and have tried to get legible type in Thunderbird by standardizing on 18 pt.

Previously I had tried to look up questions to Mozilla but I have no confidence in the way they respond if at all.

Are there some standard settings to get Thunderbird mail and Win7 working well together specifically in the way any incoming mail is displayed? When I go to reply to the new mail, the font changes to my readable Arial. This is why I'm thinking something is interacting with Win7.

Have you tried to use CTRL++ to enlarge the incoming message's font appearance?

Just now your email notification came in (before any changes to reply format)
in my Arial font and not in the tiny pencil thin font.

It would seem that something you and my local library which is another exception to the
tiny type problem are doing something similar.

What is that if you can specify?

Using control keys works in web pages. In The stand alone Thunderbird there is
no option for that and that is why the Theme and Font Changer Ad-on was made.

Also the Theme and font changer add-on when turned off/disabled did not change
this problem of tiny type on incoming mail in T-bird.

There are so many combinations of things such as font, point and UFT 8 etc etc., plus those 'metrics' settings in Win7, one screw up can be very hard to find.

Thanks for answering.

Well my face is red. I just tried the control ++ on a problem tiny type incoming mail and it enlarged in the normal manner found on websites.

If no hard setting is available in T-bird options I can live with this. Will mark solved if nothing else turns up.
