I've been trying to fix this issue for 2 days now! I am doing this because I am having issues with my USB ports and I thought SFC would be a good place to start.

I have been here:
http://www.sevenforums.com/performance-maintenance/300474-how-do-you-fix-corrupted-files-found-sfc-scannow.htm ....but OP and main helper dropped out/no solution

I have done this:

1) Ran extensive AV scans (avast and MbamPro) and NO virus's found.

2) Deleted these from windows update:

KB2670838
KB2840149
KB2862330
KB3033929
KB2990214
*note: I realize there are quite a few other "bad" updates but, of all those.... above are the only ones I had on my 'puter.

3) Ran
Chkdsk. (log is included below) I Can't remember all the other things I've tried/did...(I'll probably remember as we go along)

Vitals are as follows:
Win7 home premium sp1
MSI laptop A6200 (Intel core i3 380M)

BTW....I have repaired so many issues with Win7 with the help of this forum's posts....so THANX in advance...me luv you very much !!!!!!!

Here are my log files that may be needed:

When you go into Windows updates and select Windows Update then select Installed updates (lower left) you should see a full list of updates. Selecting the offending update if that's the problem is difficult.

If there USB3 ports then you will need to get the drivers from the manufacturers, none on W7.

I have USB 2.0 but don't want to get into it until I can resolve my SFC issues first...THANX for the reply though!

Well....I tried so many things I can't remember which one fixed it but I think it was this one that fixed my SFC errors and maybe my USB problems :

1. Close windows and then remove devices from all USB ports.
2. Remove laptop battery and also disconnect AC power supply/cord.
3. Let laptop sit in this state for 20 minutes. Don't rush this step !!! (go do some laundry, smoke a cigarette and/or drink a beer, etc.)
4. Hook everything back up and power up Windows.. WAH-LAH/ DONE !!!

I know this solution is simple but give it a try for ANY problems you are having with your computer. You know how just rebooting Windows can solve problems....well this fix just takes it a step further. Hope it helps someone !!! Let me know.....
