Solved SFC Scan found corrupted files, but it cannot fix it!

Hello everybody!
I am facing a serious problem with the Windows Update, whenever I click Check for updates nothing happen! But last time I clicked on it I got an error says: "Windows Update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running. You may need to restart you computer"
So I think the windows update files are corrupted, so I run SFC scan and it found corrupted files! But it couldn't repair it!
Now I uploaded the CBS.log file, so please can anyone from you guys can help me repair the corrupted files manually?

Hi there,

Have you tried inserting your Windows 7 disc and then clicking repair install. This should work .

Let us know how you get on,

Do some work on that log. We only need to see the SR stuff.

In an elevated prompt (run as admin), type:
findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"

*NOTE: there is a space between findstr & /c Also between "[SR]" & %windir% Also between .log & "%userprofile%

Look on your desktop for this file and send that.

There is nothing in that log that would affect Update. What I would suggest is to run sfc /scannow three times with reboots in between. Then clean up the CBS log as I explained, and we'll take it from there.

It is quite common that SFC /SCANNOW needs several passes to fix all errors. This from our SFC /SCANNOW tutorial:

   Note

• If SFC could not fix something, then run the command again to see if it may be able to the next time. Sometimes it may take running the sfc /scannow command 3 or more times to completely fix everything that it's able to.
• If not, then you can attempt to run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the bad file occured to fix it. You may need to repeat doing a System Restore until you find a older restore point that may work.
• If still not, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the OPTION THREE section below to manually replace the files that SFC could not fix.

If these don't help then run the Repair Install

But if you're still running the factory preinstall than is a corrupt install to begin with, larded with bloatware that throttles Win7's native performance. Most tech enthusiasts prefer to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 following the steps given to get a perfect reinstall.

Problem solved!

My problem has been solved!
So here is the story:
When gregrocker told me to install System Update Readiness Tool I got an error says: "Installer encountered an error 0xc8000247"
So I googled the solution & found a SevenFourms Problem that has the same main problem and Installer error problem for my problem, and it is from user here called Fibo which the thread link is HERE. I started reading the thread and found the same errors that I got! Then finally I saw the same solution for me and Fibo from user Flavius which said to update/reinstall/install Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (IRRT) driver which occur only in HP computers. (You can see the solution post HERE). So I just want to add note for his post & solution : THIS SOLUTION NOT ONLY WORK IN HP COMPUTERS, BUT IT WORKS ON ALL COMPUTERS AS THE SAME SOLUTION SOLVED THE SAME PROBLEM I GOT IN MY ACER LAPTOP!

So my problem has been solved!

The solution in the older thread pertains to an HP preinstall which like the Acer preinstall is an inherently corrupt install to begin with, larded with sponsored bloatware and useless duplicate utilities which have much better versions built into Win7. This huge load of crapware throttles Win7 native performance, which is why most tech enthusiasts won't even consider running it but instead Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Yes gregrocker you are right!
But my computer isn't an OEM laptop, well actually it was as I had Windows Vista on it in 2009. In 2010, I uninstalled Vista and installed Seven. And I started Windows 7 as a new clean regular Windows 7 without anything cause I didn't have anything so much important! Anyway before month I installed all Windows 7 drivers that is compatible with my acer from acer's official website, and installed them. I noticed that the problem occurred after installing IRRT driver which was an old version, and when I update it using the solution above the Windows Update repaired !

Getting drivers from Windows Updates is always the preferred first choice. I'm glad you got Updates running and it found the correct driver.
