sfc /scannow finding corrupt files but unable to repair

I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my Windows 7 Professional system. I recently stated having a very strange issue where I receive an email in Windows Live 2011 in my inbox and then it will disappear out of thin air! I noticed some sort of memory leak message a few days ago in event viewer that was tied to Windows Live mail so that could have something to do with it. I'm currently looking for a new job so this is very frustrating to say the least! For example, I got a reply email from a recruiter this morning and saw it in my "Unread Messages" section in Windows Live but then the email was gone *poof*... It should've been in my inbox but I had to use the search function to trace it down and found it per the search function in my Inbox but yet I could not see it! I moved the email to a folder I created in Windows live and now have it so I can respond with recruiter but this is going to cost me another job!

So, I decided to try and check the system integrity somehow and came up this article for the system file checker.

System file check (SFC) Scan and Repair System Files - Microsoft Community

I have now ran the checker 3 times as suggested by the article but I'm still getting this returned stating I still have issues>
Code:
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
What's more frustrating is I cannot open this file! It gives me an access denied. I was able to view some of the output via a C:\Windows\Logs\CBS>type CBS.log and I see it's apparently fixing some "stuff" but not sure what I should do next?

For example, my type CBS.log output shows this appended at the end>

Code:

 have been successfully repaired
I greatly appreciate any/all help to get this resolved and hopefully prevent my system from having more issues and loosing emails. Not sure if my email issue is related but it seems like it is. I just started noticing the strange email disappearing issue recently. What's messed up it's usually only the important emails like getting a job that are getting deleted. I think the matrix is working against me.. (Devil Inside)

Update

I did some more research on this and other people are saying that their system doesn't pass the sfc /scannow check either.

According to this post [FONT=&quot]kb3022345 that was release on May 14th was causing some people to fail the sfc /scannow check. Per this post many people were able to fix errors found with sfc /scannow by removing this KB.

I had some problems trying to remove it the first time but after I rebooted I was able to remove the update fine.
However, after removing [/FONT][FONT=&quot]kb3022345 I'm still failing with errors.
Code:
C:\windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
Should I attempt to repair from my Windows 7 DVD boot disk next? Appreciate any help.

You could download a application called SFCfix from this link The Tech Cookbook – Automatic SFC Corruption repair (SFCFix.exe) go to step 2 and download it and run it and it might fix your problem.

Thanks a lot for this link! I registered and will consider using this utility. However, I think I'll hold-off on attempting any fixes right now since I haven't noticed any email disappearing again (yet) and don't even know what issues the sfc scan is finding. As long as I'm not BSOD or having any other strange issues I'll probably leave it alone. I was hoping removing that kb would fix the problem since it did for a lot of others.

GokAy, I'm not understanding what you meant by those kb's? I removed KB3022345 and I'm not sure about KB3068708. Looks like it's something to do with telemetry. What exactly is included in the telemetry data? Thx

They are used for Windows 10 readiness/deployment. You won't need the SFCFix if you already uninstalled KB3022345. KB means knowledge base, in this case they are windows updates.

I'd be unhappy with sfc /scannow not giving a clean result if that's the case after applying "the fix". What I did to fix the KB3022345 issue was to run a system image restore. I always create a system image now before installing updates.

Hey guys, I appreciate your responses on this issue. I know what KB's are and I know these are windows updates. I just didn't understand what these updates consisted of and why they seemed to cause sfc scan issues. I now know they are related to microsofts windows 10 "push" and was caused by THEM! So, it seems pointless to fret over a scan that gives me some sort of corruption error that might be totally benign and not cause any issues for me.

The only reason I went down this damn rabbit hole is because I misplaced a couple VERY important emails (Job Related) and thought my system might of been having issues. As long as I don't notice any more emails disappearing I'm going to leave this alone.

Update, So, I downloaded the SFCFix.exe utility from this link and norton doesn't like it. Shows this reputation issue. Can anyone assure me this file/utility is non-harmful? I'd rather be safe than sorry. The site and everything looks legit and I'm sure it is. I've never had to try and use my Norton Ghost 15 to try a restore but I just might end up doing a restore back from April.

But what about issues in the future that aren't benign when you have a true system file corruption.

I haven't had the time to read all the threads I've found on this KB update sfc issue but I'm presuming MS will release some sort of update patch that will correct their wrong doings? ;)

After thinking/looking into this some more themorus & GokAy have the best solution for me. I followed this post to see what issues were being logged in cbs.log. It's all about telemetry and the best fix appears to definitely be the one suggested by themorus. I'll likely run this utility soon and work with their forum admins. It's nice of them to provide this service! I'm not sure exactly what the utc.app.json telemetry.ASM stuff is for but I suppose I should look into getting it fixed. Thanks again for the help and suggestions.

Welp, I guess I'm going to proceed with the sfcfix utility since still noticing some emails that go into the ether.

I also am seeing a ton of these event 6281's in my eventlog.
eventlogs.PNG

NM, I looked into these errors and it appears to be a realtek audio issue. I'll admit I'm kinda sketched out after failing the sfc /scannow check.

Did you re-run sfc /scannow after you attached the CBS.log file? No expert but seems they were fixed? You don't have any other corruption.

Re-run sfc and see if all good.
