Close ALL gadgets and this will 'kill' the process, allowing you to uninstall the gadget. Problem solved: If there are ANY gadgets on the desktop then taskmanager reads that sidebar.exe is running. Close ALL gadgets and this will 'kill' the process, allowing you to uninstall the gadget.
