Does anybody here play Shaiya? I've been playing for some time now, was under Union of Fury but decided to make a new account under Alliance of Light. Anyway, does anybody else play?

Ever since my GPU started failing on newer games, I am kinda forced to play online games and stuffs that don't require my GPU to melt down completely xD

So I want to ask if the game is any good? I've never heard about it, but am willing to try anything to get rid of the boredom when I have free time (can't keep drinking every day with friends xD)

The graphics are pretty good, and the game play is similar to WoW. There's PVP zones too. The game itself has 2 sides from which you can choose therefore to play one: alliance of light, and union of fury. There are "borderlands" where players from both sides can meet on a field of battle and fight for the blessing of the goddess. It's pretty interesting, to say the least. Also, it can be run off a portable device. The download takes a while, but for a free game I'm definitely happy with it. I was playing union of fury for quite a while, got to LV 32 hard mode (when I started playing, you had to get to level 40 on normal mode to unlock hard mode, now you can just go straight to hard mode) and I switched over to alliance of light with a new account. now after about a week of piddling around, I'm at 13 hard mode on alliance of light (remember you can just right into hard mode now)...

There is no actual "storyline," per-say, but just a bunch of quests. But, the quests are fun. There's a LOT of them, though, and you won't get them all done unless you're super bored. They're more level-based and as you level up (which you will do that faster than you can do all the quests), lesser quests really don't do you any good. Hard mode and ultimate mode characters are stronger, but require more experience to level up. If you're up for something new, give it a try, though.

I think you'll like it, though. It's quite a bit of fun; the game play is decent and the graphics are good. Let me know what your character name is if you choose Alliance of Light; I'll add you to my buddy list.

Evil characters are only created when I'm in a certain psychopathic mood xD

I got bored with the Union of Fury. It's mostly "har har I have more PVP than you because I'm lv 60 and I pwn level 12's" and it's like, really?

Well, I've been playing for an hour and I'm kind of bored. Haven't gotten far, though, lvl9, still running around the first village and the close area. Yes, I like doing all the quests that I can get xD

The game is pretty simplistic so far, with confusing directions and even more confusing map scaling. The good side is that I've heard no good music so far, so I just took the volume down and turned on the radio instead

Just now I went to the Mine right next to the village only to get my a$$ kicked by two dwarves, and I haven't even entered the Mine to get back the ore, lol.

Ahh yes, the mine. By the way, the workers aren't actually IN the mine. They're off to the right somewhere.
The map covers quite a large area, even if it doesn't appear to... And yeah, I never listen to any of the game sounds.

No worries, lol

I ended up uninstalling the game. This seems to happen a lot with "lesser" online RPGs for me, no matter how bored I am, these kind of games bore me even more.
