Share an old printer on XP?

I have a laser printer that is abandoned by Canon (ImageClass D761)..
However, I have an old XP notebook that I can print to it..

Can I share the printer through XP and print to it via Win7? There are no drivers for it in Win7..

Or will I just have to make PDFs of everything I want to print and send them to the XP notebook and print from there.....?

Your system specs does not state what version of W7 you have - can you make use of the XP Mode?

Check if there is a Vista driver which may work in W7 - if not, you can share the printer while connected to the XP laptop over a local network if you know how to do that ?
