sharing between windows xp and 7

so i have two desktops and one has xp and another 7...they are connected via LAN and are under same network..
they are in same workgroup..both my computers can see the other device...
in my xp, i can even access the shared folders and files in 7....
but when i try to access the shared files of xp from 7, it shows YOU DON'T HAVE THE PERMISSION TO ACCESS FILES OF this computer....how to make those shared files in xp accessible?

no it's not working...i can see the shared folders of windows 7 from xp but not the vice versa....


what specs do u want?plz tell me

Try this fix in the link below, you might want to disable UAC also.
Error message when you try to access a Windows XP-based network computer: "You might not have permission to use this network resource"

You can also try this method on the Windows 7 machine.

Goto... Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy > Local Policies > Security Options

Scroll down to... Network Access: Sharing and security model for local accounts

Select... Guest only and not Classic.
