Sharing folder with changing contents

I have a folder on a USB external drive which is shared to everyone. I use this folder for videos etc which I watch on my TV through a media streamer.

My problem is that when I add files to this folder, although the folder is still showing as shared the added files are not shared and I have to enable sharing on them seperately.

How do I configure the folder sharing so that any file that is put in it is automatically shared?

Are you on a Full admin of your computer and what type of sharing are you doing with the USB.. I mean like...

I am doing exactly what you are doing and it works fine with me. So, I am just trying to figure out your user permissions
