Not sure I'm in the right section, sorry!

I have two laptops on my home network. If I want to use a certain software on both, do I actually have to install it on both or can I "share"it through win7?, network? The laptops are both mine and in the same room but used for different purposes. Forgive the format of the question, I'm not too savvy in tech. Old age, I guess!

TIA.

You would most likely have to install the software on both laptops in order for it to work correctly.

Keep in mind that that will probably break the license of the software, as most software is only licensed to be installed on one machine at a time.

So, in other words, doing that may be illegal.
