Sharp Al-1600 series driver

I've got a Sharp AL-1600 series laser printer and just got a windows 7 laptop. Has anyone found a driver that will work with this series printer?

It would really suck to not be able to use my printer with the new computer.

XP are the only drivers I can find so you can try installing them in compatibility mode. Long shot. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/316-compatibility-mode.html Or from add printer. good luck. Fabe

It runs with Windows installer and no option for Compatability mode. Sharp says it's an unsupported printer and they don't intend to make a new driver. Leave it to Microsoft and Sharp to screw the installed base by not having a compatible driver!

Guess I'll never buy another Sharp printer again.
